I have never edited a Wikipedia page and don't much fancy it so if anyone else fancies having a go?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_memorial states "War memorials for the Franco-Prussian War (1870–71) were the first in Europe to have rank-and-file soldiers commemorated by name." which is patently not true, there is a Crimean memorial in Balmaclellan (and a small number in England and Wales) that do just that but are earlier.
Also, the page mentions the oldest UK memorial but makes no mention of the memorial to the Battle of Thermopylae which is generally regarded as the world's first (480BC).
