Private Wilson, William S/N 11327 Gordon Highlanders

Died 13 Nov 1916 aged 21 (1st day of the Battle of Ancre)

Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson, Distillery Cottage, Dalwhinnie.

William Wilson was a native of Aberlour but not listed on the memorial as far as I am aware.

One of the Second World War names may well be this man

ALEXANDER ROBERTSON
Service Number: 2821301
Regiment : Seaforth Highlanders. 1st Bn.
Date of Death: Died 24 April 1944
Age 23 years old
Commemorated at: RANGOON MEMORIAL. Face 18.
