Various books on RAF air crashes 1945 - 1953, also some after that period and some from WW2. You will really need at least an approximate date to give me a fighting chance.

Since I made this post I have acquired a few more related books and hope to get more so I have amended the title to cover the period 1939 to current. I don't have everything about RAF crashes in this period and nothing at all about Navy, Army or foreign military crashes - any suggestions for books welcome.

I have just got some new books so now have details of all Bomber Command (Europe) crashes for the whole war. In addition I have most of Fighter Command, the first edition of Coastal Command (2nd volume not yet published) plus some details of training aircraft crashes.

From Coastal Command Website it appears that Ross Macneill's Part 2 and Part 3 volumes might not be published - the material is with the publisher by all accounts but they are reluctant to publish due to anticipated sales being low.

I have all of Chorley's Bomber Command Volumes and they are indeed excellent reference books, as you say Paul.

Regards
Malcolm

Hello,

Could you check for any information on Robert Simpson who died in a crash landing in 27 Jul 1944 Qastina, Palestine?

Thanks and regards,

David

Sorry but I have not found a reference book yet that will cover Palestine in 1944. The wartime reference books (Bomber, Fighter and Coastal command) only cover Europe. Sorry to disappoint.
