Regarding St. David's-in-the-West U.F. Church
This church originally stood in Seymour Street, Dundee and was a temporary iron structure. In 1919 permission was sought to build a permanent building but was refused. In 1929 the church was granted permission to build on a site within the developing Lawton housing estate to the north of the city. The 'tin kirkie' was taken down and relocated close by the new site to allow continuation of worship. The new church was completed in 1930 and the former building used as a hall. In 1955 the 'tin kirkie' was purchased and removed by the Murroes Boy Scouts, later being used as offices for the Haulage firm Scott (Claverhouse) Ltd. A new church hall was opened in 1956. A source states there is a wooden plaque in the new church commemorating men from the congregation killed in WW2. |

Princes Street U.F. was demolished in 1990 and flats built on the site. It merged with Arbroath West Kirk whose site tells us that windows from Ladyloan St. Columbas (formerly Princes St U.F.) were transferred and installed there. |
