SITUATED AT THE TOP OF BRIMMOND HILL.
ERECTED BY STONEYWOOD LITERARY GUILD IN 1917.




INSCRIPTION
TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN OF NEWHILLS PARISH AND DISTRICT WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR.
1914 - 1919




INSCRIPTION:

(STONEYWOOD LITERARY GUILD CREST)

WAR MEMORIAL
ERECTED 2ND JUNE 1917

Lovely memorial, and 1917 is about the earliest I have seen for a Great War memorial.

WMR 5816.

Apparently it was restored and rededicated in 1977 (for the Queen's Silver Jubilee) when the designers mark was legible. It is G.G.J. AND GEORGE ROBB, ENGRAVER, ADELPHI, ABERDEEN
