This Church of Scotland church at Arbirlot is not often open to the public during the week and inside there is this Memorial plaque that lists an extra name to the tablet outside of the church . The additional name has no rank shown .

The tablet outside mentions a Memorial Window inside the church

Captain Hope Hunter gets around. He's remembered on Arbirlot and Arbroath Parish Memorials, also he's on the High School Memorial.

The names on the plaque for the church congregation are the same as on the parish tablet memorial on the outer wall of the church.
Kydd, Munro Brothers, Thomson, Scott and Steele all are remembered on inscriptions on family graves in Arbirlot churchyard.

I see J P Steele was a Submarine K13 death and there are two K13 memorials posted on the forum. He is listed on both of them.

One is at Govan and the other is at Garelochhead

Regards

Adam

The Scotsman: 04.09.1922
Arbirlot

The Duches of Atholl yesterday, at a combined service of the Established and U.F. Presbyterian congregations, Arbirlot, held in the Parish Church, unveiled a large, beautifully designed three-light stained glass window and also two mural tablets - one inside and one outside the church - erected in memory of the men belonging to the parish who fell in the war. The service was conducted by the Rev. John Oliver, Arbirlot U.F. Church, and the Rev. W. W. Scotland, of the Parish Church. The congregation was addressed by the Duchess of Atholl, and the sermon was preached by the Rev. R. Prenter, St. Mark's, Dundee.
