THOMAS H. THOMSON.
Named on the Dalton War Memorial in Dumfriesshire as:
THOMAS THOMSON, PTE. K.O.S.B.
Thomas Thomson – age 24 – Private (12365) 6th Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.
Thomas was a gardener at Whitecroft Mansion, Carrutherstown, Dalton when he enlisted in August 1914.
He landed with his battalion at Boulogne in May 1915 but was killed at the battle of Loos.

Born 1891 in Kirkfieldbank, Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire as Thomas Heggison Thomson.
Son of Alexander, head gardener at Corehouse, Kirkfieldbank, and Annie (Heggison) Thomson of 28, West Port, Lanark.
Killed in action on 25 September 1915 and reportedly buried in Cambrin Churchyard. (Source: de Ruvigny's Roll of Honour)
Commonwealth War Grave Loos Memorial.
