Roderick George MacDonald died after discharge. The record of death on Scotland's People states: "Roderick George MacDonald, Solicitor's Clerk and Company Secretary (Late Captain, Army Service Corps) died 4/2/1918 at 220 Albert Road, Glasgow. Cause of death: Lymphadenoma and Cardiac failure. " Lymphadenoma is a rare form of cancer of the saliver glands. His service record is held by the National Archives in hard copy and cannot be accessed until after Covid restrictions are relaxed.
