Here is a "sad" coincidence - The first man (Brodie) was serving on the Armed Boarding Steamer "Dundee" when she was torpedoed by the German submarine U 49.

The ship was built in the Caledon Yard in Dundee and pre-war was operated by the Dundee, Perth and London Shipping Company.
