This memorial is currently located at Hillwood Primary School in Ratho Station.

Confirmation of its original location is being sought with either Newbridge or Ratho Station being the main candidates. The casualties mentioned on it can also be found on the Ratho and Kirkliston memorials.
Regards

Memorial: Newbridge District Great War Memorial
Current Location: Hillwood Primary School, Station Road, Ratho Station, EH28 8PT
Grid Ref: NT131723
UKNIWM Ref: (not found)

Quote from Wikipedia:
The local primary school is Hillwood Primary School, which replaced the now closed Newbridge Primary School in 1972.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratho_Station

The history page on their website implies they have done some project work on WWI at Remembrance Day (be prepared to wait a few minutes for the pictures to appear - slow website?).

If the school cannot provide the answer of the original site of the memorial, another source that looks worth trying is the Ratho Local History website - there are contact details for them.

The original primary school for the area seems to have been Newbridge Primary School, which looks to have been across the A8 from Ratho Station, on the corner of Lochend Road.

1950 aerial view of the area

The site is now a yard operated by Portakabin.
