The North Parish Church is situated in Springfield Road in the Braehead area of Stirling. It was built in 1970/71 when the congregation re-located from Murray Place in the centre of town. The previous church was built in 1841.

The war memorial is situated in the vestibule, immediately opposite the main door. There is no indication that it is a memorial from the Great War. It consists of two tablets, listing the names in rank order. Between the tablets are three other memorials. The top one remembers a former minister; below is a shield commemorating a visit from the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland; the lowest is a piece of stone with a plate bearing the inscription:
"This stone was laid to the Glory of God by the Moderator of the General Assembly, the Right Reverend TM Murchison DD. 8th May 1970.
It is part of the original foundation stone of the North Parish Church, Murray Place, Stirling, laid there in May 1841.
The church and halls were dedicated by the Moderator of the General Assembly, the Right Reverend Hugh O Douglas CBE DD
31st January 1971"
