Loch Ryan's World War Two flying boat history celebrated.
Some great photos here:

Sadly as with many "tourist initiatives" in Dumfries and Galloway no one bothers to say where it is, when its open, etc., etc.
It appears to be in the vicinity of Kirkcolm "on the northern tip of the Rhinns of Galloway peninsula" so its not exactly on the way to anywhere!
I'm trying to find out more. _________________ Ken |

Never a truer word about D&G's pathetic efforts at tourism. I think this will be just to the south of Kirkcolm. There are still buildings from the Wig Bay base in that area. Stunning views up Loch Ryan to Ailsa Craig and Arran as a bonus. |
