William Lithgow Rushford, MM. Died 13th February 1930.

Rushford was a Private, number 104941 in the Machine Gun Corps when he was awarded the Military Medal.

I have located a Private W H Shearer, Number 451 Imperial Light Infantry, who died of wounds at Mount Alice on 28th January 1900. He had been wounded at Spion Kop on the 24th January. This is the closest match for the man listed on this gravestone.
