"Deaths on Service.
FORREST.-

Patrick Conlogue mentioned in previous post, also commemorated on Memorials at Pollokshaws Burgh Hall. and St Mary's Church, Pollokshaws.

“Private Patrick Conlogue (23), 1/6th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Renfrewshire Territorials), has been missing since 19th May. He was employed at Giffnock Colliery and resided in Wodrow Street, Pollokshaws.”

Pollokshaws News 09/07/15 “ Mrs Patrick Conlogue, 19 Wodrow Street, has been officially informed that her husband, Pte Conlogue, Pollokshaws and Thornliebank Company, 1/6th A and SH, has been wounded. He had not been heard of for six weeks and was supposed to be missing.”

Pollokshaws News 07/04/16 “Private Patrick Conlogue, A&SH, was killed on Sunday week. He belonged to Pollokshaws, and until his marriage in July, 1914, lodged with Mr and Mrs James Quin, 9 Harriet St. He took up house in Wodrow St, with his wife who now resides in Nitshill. Private Conlogue, who was employed in Giffnock Colliery, was about 24 years of age. Private Goodwin, also of the A&SH, who formerly resided in Rossendale Rd, was killed at the same time.”
