As happened in many Berwickshire parishes those who died in WWII were not added to the WWI memorial in Preston village... instead, a plaque was erected in the parish church, at Bonkyl (aka Buncle, Bunkle).
Lieut Minchin is also commemorated on the font - as well as with a stained glass window in the Episcopal church in neighbouring Duns, and its roll.
