Laurencekirk Memorial Park
UKNIWM Ref No. 8687
A path directly behind the War Memorial leads into the park.
There's a flagpole and a granite Flowerpot/Fountain at another entrance, someone has placed remembrance crosses within it.
The plaque is on a more recent sports pavillion. Futher info from Bill at www.laurencekirk.info.
"... the Memorial Park in Laurencekirk was gifted to the town after the First World War.The ground that the War Memorial is situated is within the grounds of the park.At one time there was a beautiful Cricket and Football Pavilion which has sadly disappeared. As far as I know these were all gifted by the Pearson Family who owned Johnston Estate and most of the ground that Laurencekirk was built on."
