Not listed on UKNIWM
Location - discovered in the tower of Keir church (OS Map Ref NX860932)some years ago, along with another ROH for the Virginhall Church - both rolled up and unframed. It was looked after by the then minister until his death. Later it came into the care of members of the Joseph Thomson Local Heritage Centre in Penpont. It has now been cleaned, conserved and framed and is to be hung in Keir Parish Hall, near to the former Keir church and will rejoin other memorials from the church.
The picture of a soldier is an original watercolour but is firmly fixed to the mount and no details can be seen of the artist's name.

C E Hoggan of Waterside is interesting too. He is listed as MT ASC whilst the two other ASC men are ASCMT. No rank is given either but he is listed amongst the officers.
I have found a CE Hoggan in this 1912 Scottish Automobile Club list of members which ties in with the MT bit if he volunteered as a driver early in the war.

Catptain Herbert William Francis Hunter-Arundell doesn't have a unit listed against his name. for some reason. Perhaps he didn't serve overseas?
