Today I was in the Montrose Public Library and in the entrance area is the oak cased cabinet with the Roll of Honour for 1939-1945 War war that lists the Montrose folks who fell in that War .
The roll of honour is a had written list of WW2 casualties in alphabetical order and each page is turned each working day at the Public Library .

I posted the following in the Montrose Civic Thread last year;

I was in the library at Montrose recently and in the entrance hall they have a Roll of Honour Book in a glass case (similar to Brechin).
It was opened on a page containing WW2 casualties and had name, rank, regt., date of death etc. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera but probably in the fullness of time both this and the Breching rolls should be photographed. Would also be interesting to compare the names to the memorial etc.
