Towards the end of 1919 a ROLL OF HONOUR was compiled, framed and hung in the corridor of the church. The West United Free Church was the forerunner of the West Kirk.
Names marked * thus on the Roll of Honour made the Supreme Sacrifice.
Those names are the same as those on the 1914 - 1919 war memorial.
Many thanks to Mrs. Edith Glendinning, Elder of the church, for allowing me access to the West Kirk and for showing me round the church.
