Alexander Smith was my uncle from Belleheiglash, Ballindalloch.
His death is recorded on the Ploegstreet Memorial, Belguim.
I have his medals, including the Death Penny, bearing the number 10987.

His father Alexander, mother Elizabeth, and brothers John and William are buried in the Inveravon Church cemetery.

Many thanks to your contributor Anne Park for her efforts in trying to establish
the correct facts regarding identity. I would be pleased to hear by e-mail from anyone interested in Alec.
