This is actually the Mayfield Parish Church War Memorial. In 1929 The Church changed its name to Mayfield South and in 1966 merged with Craigmillar Park Church and stayed in the old Mayfield Church buildings. I will amend the title.

Elder to the church, David Alexander Small (clothier and outfitter on Princes St), presented ten memorial windows in Mayfield Parish Church, Edinburgh. Windows were designed and executed by Misses Chilton and Kemp. The Scotsman 21 Mar 27.
Two of these are for his sons killed in action: Norman Howard Small, 9th Royal Scots, killed 23 Apr 15; and William E.A. Small, Royal Horse Guards, killed 26 Sep 15.
