Just read an article from 1920 that 11 windows (yes 11) were presently being installed as a memorial to those from the church who fell in the Great War. McCheyne has been vacant for some time and is considered a building at risk;

Does anyone know if this removal of memorials has ever taken place?

I see on the news that Perth council have applied to demolish Perth civic hall. Anyone know if there are any war memorials involved?

Story in today's Courier relating to 'one' of the memorials in the old St. Andrew's Parish Church, Perth. Photos of it were posted on page 4 of this thread in 2010. No mention of the memorial to the Revd. Charles Robertson.

The memorial is on the front of a tenement in the Clune Park area of Port Glasgow. All of these tenements are to be demolished "soon. I will write to Inverclyde Council about the fate of the memorial, but it would be nice if someone could make a formal approach on bahalf of the site.

I haven't been that way for a while, so I don't know if it's still there.

A fire at the disused West Church on Main Street in Hatton, Aberdeenshire. 35 fire fighters attended the blaze.

I found out today that the war memorial is showing problems due to cracking and if the church has to be demolished then where will the memorial go?

This happened in Feb 2015 and I am trying to help find info about who to contact. I post something earlier so maybe not in the correct place so must do better. The plan is to remove memorial and locate at village hall.

Possibly a little early to say this one is in danger but an item in this week's Wigtownshire Free Press (9/2/2017) tells of the possibility of Glenluce Public Hall being in danger of closure if no-one takes it over. The community council is looking at options. I believe there is either a memorial or Roll of Honour in the hall but no-one has managed to capture it yet. I'll keep an eye on developments and will try and get a picture if I'm out that way.

Mike - that would be great if you can photo it.
There are some photos here http://freepages.history.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ainsty/memorials/glenluce_photo.html

It does appear to be well polished and substantial. Cool

I think that this is a listed building but I don't know if the listing includes the contents.
