I recently had a communication from Robin S Don in England whose late father was Scottish Horse Capt Francis Percival Don & RFC & RAF latterly Air Vice Marshall. Robin S . Don informs me that two of his uncles are on a memorial in LONDON : He informs me that an uncle , Alan C. DON, Dean of Westminster Abbey paid for the memorial plaque of William Laud, Archbishop of Canterbury who had been beheaded in1645 and made an addict on his Memorial plaque to his two younger brothers casualties of the Great War with the Black Watch , 10th Service Battalion in Salonika .

All Hallows by the Tower church in London :

The Bronze plaque is on the left hand pillar at the entrance to the Columbarium Chapel It reads:
In this place rested for a while the body of William Laud , Archbishop of Canterbury Lord, I am coming as fast as I can, I know I must pass through the shadow of death before I can come to Thee, Lord , bless this kingdom with peace and Plenty and with Brotherly love and charity For Jesus Christ His sake

THE GIFT IN 1935 OF A.C.D. ( Alan C. Don , Dean of Westminster Abbey),
A SCOTTISH PRIEST IN MEMORY
OF HIS BROTHERS A.W.R. D. ( ARCHBALD W.R. DON and R.M.D. (ROBIN M. DON) ,
LIEUTENANTS , 10th BLACK WATCH
