Located on the south side of the A699 Kelso to St.Boswells Road, approximately 2 miles west of Kelso



Memorial erected by members of the 5th Polish Armoured Regiment, and still tended.

This is not listed on UKNIWM. Amazing that it has not been lost or forgotten - obviously well looked after by someone.

Having tramped around the castle a fair few times, I can't think how I forgot about this one. If memory serves, it was cleaned up a few years ago.

A new brass plaque to these Polish soldiers who were killed while training was dedicated in the grounds of Kelso War Memorial to day (5/5/2013) in a ceremony attended by the Consul General of Poland, Dr Tomasz Trafas.
