Star - Kirkcaldy District

The Star war memorial takes the form of a white marble tablet set into the face of the gable wall of the school.
The memorial was executed by J.Y. Thomson
The commemoration reads:
1914
PRO PATRIA
1918
TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND
IN MEMORY OF THE MEN
OF STAR, WHO FELL IN
THE GREAT WAR.

'THEY OVERCAME, AND THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES UNTO THE DEATH'
