George McCallum Young appears on CWGC as George McCallum, although Du Ruvigny records him as George McCallum Young.

Name: MCCALLUM, GEORGE
Initials: G
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Regimental Sergeant Major
Service Number: 4314
Regiment/Service: Cameron Highlanders, 2nd Bn
Awards: DCM
Date of Death: 7/2/1918
Age: 45
Additional Information: Son of George and Lilias Young, of West Calder, Midlothian.
Grave Reference: III C 1
Cemetery: Struma Military Cemetery.

Note: I raised the issue about RSM Young/McCallum with CWGC and got the following response:

"Thank you for your email below and I must say this has been an interesting one.

Whilst it is clear that at birth his name was George Young, it is also clear that he spent his entire 20 year military career as George McCallum (I do not know why).

It is also clear that at no point is his name recorded as George McCallum Young with the exception of Du Ruvigny's Roll of Honour where I think it has become an amalgamation of both names (possibly hedging their bets).

As a result however, I have now created an alias entry in our database, along with amending the existing record, so that he can be found under either name. These changes should replicate on our website within the next 24 hours or so, please feel free to check.

I have also placed a headstone amendment request into our works programme however as this alteration will require a replacement stone, this can take anything up to 18 months to complete.

Either way, I have requested a photograph of the completed work which can be forwarded on to you once received, if required.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and if you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact us again."
