Could well be, John. Thanks. No sign of Kirkside anywhere.

The memorial at Dowanhill Church cropped up in my research into those named on Glasgow Academy War Memorial. There is a photograph of the Dowanhill Church memorial on the War Memorials online site: https://www.warmemorialsonline.org.uk/memorial/154497/ . It mentions that the church was undergoing restoration as a theatre and restaurant by a Charitable Trust. A search on the address shows it to be Cottiers for which there was another thread a few years back. It looks like restoration is now complete: https://cottiers.com/history/restoration/ . Whether the memorial is still there is probably worth further investigation.

While cataloguing the names on Lenzie Academy War Memorial I tried to find out about Lt Harry Hayworth, A&SH. As he attended Glasgow University there was a short biographical note about him which included reference to him being the Deputy Organist at Campsie United Free Church. This, in turn, made me wonder if the kirk had a memorial: according to the Imperial War Museum website there is, indeed, a memorial in the form of a solid oak communion table carrying the name of 18 men. Its IWM reference is 5806.

Another one spotted on the Glasgow University Roll of Honour is a memorial in St Bride's Episcopla Church, Hyndland. Included is the name of Charles Frederick Davis MacIntyre: https://universitystory.gla.ac.uk/ww1-biography/?id=3955

The Church website states: Unusually, the pulpit and choir stalls are a memorial to the members of St Bride's who lost their lives during the First World War.
