According to the BBC Scotland website the National Trust for Scotland has wrapped the main memorial and grave markers on the Culloden Battlefield with bubble-wrap while they are constructing new paths.

As an aside, years ago I remember someone telling me that heather never grew on the clan graves at Culloden.
When I visited I saw why - someone was mowing them ! _________________
