I thought I'd posted about this before Christmas but apparently not... Dean Parish Church closed in November. This had been coming for some time, as it had been without a permanent minister, and earmarked for closure in the Edinburgh Presbytery Plan. Very sad.

Congregation has been dissolved as opposed to uniting with another nearby so I'm not sure what will happen to the moveable memorials.

Church will be sold, but to date it hasn't appeared on CofS property pages.

WMR 81333.

Where is this memorial now?, as I understand that the church closed in October 2016. I found this from the Edinburgh Evening News while obtaining an address, to enable a postcode and a 10 figure grid reference to be derived.

I recently discovered Erskine Stewart Melville Schools... directly west of the church on Ravelston Terrace... bought it for use as a sort of graduation hall plus concert/performance venue. My guess is the memorials remain 'in situ' especially as the congregation was dissolved instead of uniting with another.
