This isn't a war memorial but I thought it would be of interest espescially for any Kiwis visiting this site. Its a gravestone in Linn Cemetery on the South Side of Glasgow set up by the Gardner family which lists their two sons and son-in-law (Forsyth, VictoriaCross) who were killed in the Great War (it doesn't specifically state the cause of death of another son-in-law who died in 1919, presumably he was not killed in the war but perhaps by the Spanish Flu?).
I walk my dog in this cemetery and this grave is by no means unusual, there are many sad examples of parents carrying on without several sons who were lost in the war.
There is information on Forsyth on the Royal Engineers Museum website at:
http://www.remuseum.org.uk/vc/rem_vc_forsyth.htm
If its felt that this doesn't qualify for a posting on the site then no problem, just remove it.
