Now I have traced some details on my grandfather John Daly a resident of Coatdyke who was killed at Mont Noir,France and Flanders in July 1918,I was wondering why his name does not appear on the war memorial at Coatbridge.
Other John Daly/Daley/Dailys appear on various monuments but they are from different areas originally, have different relatives and parents, and are in other regiments.
How does one have a soldier added to the memorial in his town of residence? _________________ If peace cannot be maintained with honour,it is no longer peace........Lord John Russell...
