This is an amazing 3 volume set covering both WW1 and WW2 compiled by a serving soldier ,Sgt AlastairGSmith of Royal Logistics Corps ,who lives in Kinross. It can be consulted in Kinross Museum, which is part of the new Community Campus at Kinross.
The Museum is staffed by very helpful volunteers so the best times to go are Thursdays 10-8 and Saturdays 10-3when you can access the study room where the set is housed.
In addition there are separate folders on Private WAFlockhart,NZEF,and Lt WKFalconer,Argyll&Sutherland Highlanders who are commemorated on the Kinross memorial and Captain WBJReid,Seaforths, who is commemorated on the Orwell memorial.
There is a tablet in Orwell Church to Captain Reid and a brass tablet in St Paul`s Episcopal,Kinross to Lt Falconer as well as the tablet in St John the Evangelist,Princes St,Edinburgh which has already been posted. |
