This wooden plaque was formerly in place in a church in Portsmouth. It commemorates both the 250th anniversary of the raising of the Royal Scots Fusiliers in 1928, and also commemorates the men of the Regiment who fell in the Second World War.
The exact church in Portsmouth is unknown, but it is possibly a church which is now closed, as this plaque appeared or sale on an online auction site in 2015.
It has been purchased by the Scottish Military Research Group and is now in their possession. It is not currently on public display although that may change in future.
