The following Blairgowrie native does not appear on the main Dumfries Memorial. However one is listed at Maxwelltown. Given the parental address would this be 'geographically' possible for commemoration?

Although it is all Dumfries now, prior to 1920s (?) the north of the river was Dumfries and south of the river was Maxwelltown. I actually live on the junction of church street and Maxwelltown is my local (and nearest) memorial. If you want to know anything else from the area, PM me. I will wander that way tomorrow to see if 31 is still standing - there are some new and some older buildings on Church street. |
