This is to the 'Laird' of Achnacarry. Lt Col. Vaughan ran the Commando training centre which trained all the Allied Commandos and the US Rangers during the Second World War.

My thanks to Derek for allowing me to place the picture of this plaque in the CVA galleries. I placed a note on their forum so that visitors to the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge are aware and can visit Kimonivaig Church should they wish to do so
