Adam has some notes on this advisory council. Of the countless memorials in the country, they advised on something like 150 of them...so they weren't called upon much. |

I believe they do have the papers from the time and I have the name of someone to contact about it when I can find some time.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 150 committtees they helped were the county towns and prosperous communities full of middle-class residents who wanted something bespoke such as Hawick.
