As a quick source of memorials of all kinds, and to see if a memorial of interest is photographed, search images on the web.
On on opening your internet browser click images , enter war memorials UK or the area memorials UK then enter.
If you do not enter UK then you will get memorials from all over the world.
I was astounded at the range of memorials , art work, sculptures created.
There are plaques from inside churches, houses as well as memorials to musicians and personalities.
At Braemar for instance the remains of a bomber engine have been mounted on a stone in remembrance of the crew who were killed when it crashed on the mountain. It stands alongside the war memorial in Braemar.
Hope this is of use .
