Salen, Island of Mull

The Salen war memorial is a very rustic and simple celtic cross with wheel-head, carved from a red/pink granite and set on a low tapering pedestal.
The memorial is located in front of the kirk.

Zaria is in Zaria Province in the Northern Region of Nigeria, approximately 81 kilometres by road north of Kaduna.
The Zaria Memorial was erected by the public and commemorates 330 Commonwealth soldiers belonging to the 1st and 5th Battalions of the Nigeria Regiment and No.1 Artillery Battery, Nigeria Regiment who lost their lives during the 1914-1918 War. |
