I'm doing some family history research and in a box of old documents I came across this photograph. I don't know who the people are but I assume that they were relatives of mine. It could be anywhere in Scotland or perhaps even Carlisle but I feel that is less likely.

The words on the Memorial read:

To the Glory of God
and in
the honoured memory
of men
from this parish

and I cant read the rest. Looks like a public park. I feel that to have had a photograph taken at the Memorial there must be a family member commemorated on it.

thanks

Alan

Too small for Melrose, and it's not Caddonfoot in the Borders.
These were my first 2 hunches.

Alan

It's a shame we can't see the top of the memorial. It looks like a style common in East Lothian but there is a large pedestal so I don't think it is from that part of Scotland, t may be worth looking through the Lothians section anyway.

Regards

Adam
