No prizes involved, but I wonder if anyone can track down the following:

A Memorial Tablet to 1228 Brethren of The Glasgow District of the Loyal Order of Ancient Shepherds' (Ashton Unity) Friendly Society

The Tablet was unveiled in the Central Halls, Glasgow on the evening of Saturday 13th November 1920 by Lord Blythswood and dedicated by Rev. James MacGibbon, D.D.

There's a Central Hall in Maryhill Road, might be worth contacting the council?

Hello Anne,
Lora had a look (she says she owes you one!) and seems to have located the Central Halls at 25 Bath Street, built by the Ancient Shepherds Organaisaion in the early 1900's and is now the Halls of the St. George's Tron Church. They are still in use.
These links might be of interest:

If you want we can try to get access and photographs, just let us know.
Jim
