The Monikie Memorial Hall has the date 1927 on the building and inside the Memorial Hall within the Entrance area there is this Memorial Plaque with this wording :
To the Glory of God and in Honour of Those who served in Sympathy with Those who suffered and in Grateful Remembrance of Those who Gave Their Lives 1914 - 1918 |

The wording should read
