The book " Roll of Honour of the Commercial bank of Scotland Ltd " has a drawing of their war memorial and the book records " a memorial record of the staff of the Commercial bank of Scotland Ltd who served in the Great War 1914 -18 ".
The Memorial tablet was erected in the Head Office on 16 March 1921 and unveiled by the Deputy Governor , The Earl of Mar & Kellie KT.
It lists the honours that were gained by the members of the bank's staff including one Victoria Cross.
Then it lists the Roll of Honour of the bank listing full name, rank and regiment with details of death date and Branch location . After that Roll of honour listing casualties and men who served there is a full list of Those who fell - full names only . At the back pages a descriptive note on the War Memorial .
Again No photographs of any of the Casualties of that war .

Yes, that's the same document. I initially uploaded it to the Internet Archive, so it's free for anyone to download, hence the reason I've seen it sold on eBay on CDs with other free to download documents. |
