Mark
Do you have the D Cert details? He will not be a problem if he was serving at his death. _________________ Jim

Lieut. Alexander Dale Muir 1st/6th Black Watch has been forwarded as a case, on Mark's behalf, to CWGC / MOD as an in service death Non Comm. His details are now in the system.
Alexander was the son of Rev George and Margaret Muir of The Manse, Bradwardine, Manitoba. His father had been sometime FC minister at Methven.
I have now established he is buried at Jeanfield Cemetery in Perth and has no headstone. CWGC will wish to rectify this.
His brother George also fell serving with the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles Battalion. C.E.F.
Will update when further details available.
Well done Mark in finding him. _________________ Jim

You can see him listed here

Under 'Graduate School of Arts and Sciences'
Was he in the USA at the outbreak of war?

Congratulations to Mark and all concerned in the research and documentation required .
This Black Watch soldier can now rest in peace having been identified and hopefully the CWGC headstone is erected and maybe present day family can be traced so they are aware !
