UKNIWM 44332
This memorial was originally in Keir Church (also known as Keirmill) at OS Map Ref NX860932. The church closed and has been sold. After some research I found that the memorial has been moved some time in the last few years to Penpont church at OS Map Ref NX849945. It is not currently on display but is held in storage - the person I asked was not aware of any plans to display it but it is available for viewing on request.
The first photograph is of Keir church (the original location) and the second photo is of Penpont church where it is currently held.

This WW1 Memorial along with WW2 Memorial are both now found in the Keir Village Hall, from 1st April 2009.
The village Hall found on the Keir Road from Penpont, pass the Keir War Memorial and the Hall is your first building on the left.

Excellent news Teddy. Does this actually make them civic memorials for Keir rather than Church though?
Not knowing that part of Scotland I can't comment on the size of Keir and whether it is classed as a seperate community from Penpont.
Regards

Not a civic memorial. That is a sandstone pillar already posted (and with a crack). These (the WW1 and WW2) were originally church memorials so I think they remain so even though they are now in the village hall.

The WW1 Memorial was unveiled in the Keir Church on 28th Nov 1920 by Mrs. Gladstone of Capenoch, this followed the morning service, then from church everyone moved onto War Memorial where it was unveiled by Mrs. Hunter-Arundell from Barjarg Towers. Both ladies involved with Red Cross work during war years.
The WW2 Memorial place after war years, not sure on date.
Both memorials in church until 2003, when sold, then in safe keeping by elder of church. From April 2009 in village hall.
I do think they should still be classed as "Church Memorials"
Penpont is main church, and Keir and Tynron churches joined with Penpont many years ago. Today Penpont now only "working church" as both Tynron and Keir Churches are sold.

Here is the memorial in its new place of honour inside Keir Village Hall - thanks to Gladys Cuttle for the photo.
