My copy of the Scottish National War Memorial , Black Watch roll of honour - Great war shows :
MILLER , WILLIAM TAIT , born Perth, S/40438, Corporal , Killed in action , France & Flanders , 9 April 1917
8th Bn Black Watch
Also
History of the BW in the Great War - Wauchope :
8th Bn page 94 casualties pages ORs
MILLER , W .T ., Cpl , S/ 40438 , Killed in action 9 April 1917 -
page 37 of the book covers the battle of Arras on 9th April 1917 and it reports the losses of B & C were light , amounting to 2officers and about 60 OR's etc etc
thought this may be extra info but no mention of his death in this book by Wauchope
