He is almost certainly:
L Cpl. M2/034454 Robert Winton, RASC . Chauffeur born Moulin, Perthshire c 1895
Son of Edward Charles Winton, Dunfallandy, Pitlochry
Enlisted 21/1/1915 - Demobilised 1920 to reside at Laurel Bank, Strathtay, Perthshire. No illness shown on his record. _________________ Jim

Jim,
I saw Robt. Winton from Dunfallandy. I also checked deaths for him without success. He has a different MIC from the one who is stated 'killed' !? |

I noticed killed on the MIC, but you cannot rely on these details, and thought the local man more likely. As you say, there is no sign of his death in Scotland to 1926 nor a Robt. Winton RASC died overseas to 1921. A mystery, unless he lived to old age.
Will check further. _________________ Jim
