|
|
The Tealing Memorial is just about three miles from the Murroes Memorial. On the Tealing Memorial there are three names that may be the same as on the Murroes Memorial.
They are:
Bruce James Private on Tealing and Bruce James Royal Highlanders Private on Murroes.
Morrison James B. Private on Tealing and Morrison James Royal Highlanders Private on Murroes.
Philip William Private on Tealing and Phillip William Royal Highlanders Private on Murroes.
Given the rural nature of this area, and the physical proximity of the Memorials, what are your thoughts on these men being matches?
Also, if one were to try to find newspaper articles from 1919-1921 about the Murroes Memorial, which newspaper would you think I might have the best chances of success with? _________________ Honoring Private Thomas Spence, 1st/7th Black Watch, Died of Wounds April 2, 1918 at Abancourt, France |
