Visited last June. Didn't find a memorial but found a WW1 Roll of honour inside the island church. Unfortunately, my photo is not very sharp as I had no flash. Go pepared.
I will send it to Derek for scanning.
There is also a list of those who died behind the pulpit and I recorded the names:
"1914-18 died for King and Country
Alex Graham, Donald Graham, Neil Graham, John G Hsmilton, Duncan McDonald, Donald McGoogan, John Wilkinson, Jas Wotherspoon, and Malcolm Orr.
1939-45 to the memory of Flying Officer Ian Wotherspoon, RAF and Sgt Neil Graham McSporran, RAF."
These WW1 names are also on the Roll of Honour with regiments. If the photo does not scan well, I will add details. |

John - the second last name on the plaque is, I think, Charles (CHAS) Wotherspoon. _________________ Ken |

Ken
Yes, you are right and it is Chas not Jas. Wotherspoon. The roll of honour also lists Charles Wotherspoon as one of the dead.
