This article was published inthe Sunday Post on 3rd June - not sure if this should be on the new memorials thread or if this memorial is already listed or if the soldier is already listed on another memorial. I leave it for whoever has Morayshire in hand to move/cross post as you think fit.

Spoons
This memorial is actually in the Highlands, not Morayshire. It is at Sallachy near Lairg in Sutherland. I knew of its existence but had never actually seen a photograph of it.
Thanks for posting this. I'll now move it.
Regards

Former Guardsman David Niven has very kindly given us this information and photographs:
There is a memorial to guardsman Reynolds DCM at Sallachy this man carried a wounded Gdsn on his back during which a mortar bomb exploded next to him, the wounded man survived but Gdsn Reynolds was killed.
This was in the Falklands on Mount Tumbledown, the memorial was built by his officer, Lt-Col Bruce on his land at Sallachy, however the land has changed hands, and is now owned by a German. There is a right of way and myself and another ex guardsman have tried to look after it. I live in Falkirk many miles away, and this memorial is falling into an overgrown mess nobody seems to look after this. I do put down a wreath every year when I get up there on holiday as an ex Guardsman myself , this Gdsn was an orphan aged 19 years.
A memorial service was held at Sallachy at least 3 years ago taking part was Lt-General J P Kisely who also served in the Falklands, a Tornado from the RAF also flew past in tribute, another officer was Major Dazel-Job who was a Platoon Commander in the Falklands as well as a number of veterans who also served there.
Major Dazel-Job now runs the Guards Hotel next to the Guards club at the Haymarket in Edinburgh.
Location:
The road to Sallachy is one-way and runs up to the gate of Sallachy Estate. It is a right of way through the gate and along the road. After passing over a bridge the memorial is on the right between the road and Loch Shin

Number: 24549305
Unit: 2nd Bn Scots Guards
Died: Killed in action 14.6.1982 Tumbledown Mountain, East Falkland Island

DCM Citation: On the night of 13th/14th June 1982, on the Island of East Falkland, the 2nd Battalion Scots Guards attacked well entrenched enemy positions on the craggy ridge feature of Tumbledown Mountain, seven kilometres to the west of Port Stanley.
During the attack, Guardsman Reynold's Platoon came under fire from a group of enemy snipers. His Platoon Sergeant was killed instantly. A confused situation developed and his Section became separated. Guardsman Reynolds immediately took command. Having located the enemy snipers he silenced several of them himself.
That done and showing a complete disregard for his own safety, he moved forward to render first aid to a wounded comrade. He himself was wounded in the hand by enemy sniper fire, but continued to aid his colleague. Whilst doing so, he was killed by enemy mortar fire.
