BIRNIE.- Died of wounds, on 14th December, at 9th General Hospital, Private Alexander Birnie, Scots Guards, aged 24 years, beloved second son of the late Mr John Birnie and of Margaret Garden Birnie, 3 King Street, Renton."

BARR.- Killed in action, on 8th (sic) April, Private William Barr, A. and S. H., beloved eldest son of Mrs R. Barr, Cross House, Renton, and grandson of the late James Orr, joiner, East Kilbride.- A loving son, a brother dear, a faithful friend; American and New Zealand papers please copy."
